Guns N' Roses and The Cure have been nominated to be included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Their names will be added alongside the 13 other nominees who will hope to be inducted on April 14, 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio.

The other artists nominated are: Beastie Boys, Donovan, Eric B and Rakim, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Heart, Freddie King, Laura Nyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rufus with Chaka Khan, The Small Faces/The Faces, The Spinners and Donna Summer.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in its 25th year and it honours great names like Leonard Cohen, REM, Blondie and U2.
