Scotty McCreery's debut album has entered the U.S. Billboard Top 200 and Top Country Albums charts at No.1.

The talented young singer, who won the latest series of American Idol, has just released his first record, 'Clear As Day' and it shifted an impressive 196,739 copies making him the youngest male artist in history to top the all-genre albums chart with a debut album.

Speaking about his amazing success so far, McCreery said "my hopes were just to go out there and have fun and let people know that the album was out there. Everybody hopes for the number one, but you never really expect it".
