Steven Tyler part of "the Hilfiger family"

Steven Tyler, the frontman of rock band Aerosmith, is the new face of fashion house Andrew Charles.

The 'Love In An Elevator' hitmaker will now represent the brand, which has Tommy Hilfiger's younger brother Andy as its creative director. He appeared at Macy's in Manhattan to launch the partnership, of which he said:

"That freak style I wear on stage you can buy now at Macy's. It's an honour for me to be part of the Hilfiger family. We'll see what happens. I'm aiming high and God knows where this is going to go, but it's going to be good."

The clothing collection is exclusive to Macy's and features cotton shirts and jackets, and Andrew Charles said of the partnership:

"I grew up on Aerosmith and Steven Tyler. I've always loved his music and his style. I really love the whole concept of mixing music and fashion together. To launch it with such an icon such as Steven is amazing."
