Journey to receive iconic Legend of Live Billboard award

Iconic rock band Journey will be honoured with a special title at this year's Billboard Touring Awards ceremony.

The group, who recently saw a surge in popularity after the hit U.S. television series Glee covered it's well-loved anthem 'Don't Stop Believin'', are set to receive the Legend of Live award on November 10 at a special event held at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York.

Journey's Neal Schon said of the exciting news, "I'm so honored to come to New York to represent the band for all the years and dedication that everyone's given."

The award has previously been won by Sir Elton John, Rush and Ozzy Osbourne, and Billboard's Ray Waddell explained that Journey are very deserving recipients:

"Though they have sold millions of records and charted a wealth of the most beloved Billboard hits in history, most would agree that Journey's longevity has in large part been driven by their stellar live performances."
