Amy Winehouse refused therapy and wasn't suicidal, says her doctor

Amy Winehouse refused to accept any kind of "psychological therapy" according to her physician.

Christina Romete was present at the late singer's inquest yesterday (October 26), which revealed that the 'Back To Black' star was more than 5 times the legal drink-drive limit at her time of death, and explained that Winehouse had no intention of seeking outside support or help:

"(Winehouse was) opposed to any sort of psychological therapy... She was one of the most intelligent young women I've ever met. She was very determined to do everything her way, including her therapy. She had very strict views on that."

The doctor also added that Winehouse was incredibly headstrong and she didn't feel as though she was a significant threat to herself because she talked openly about her hopes for the future:

"I was not concerned that she was suicidal. She was looking forward to the future and we were discussing plans for her upcoming birthday party. She had previously said she did not want to die and said that night, 'I have not achieved things I wanted to do.'"
