Coldplay are No.1

Coldplay have gone straight into The Official UK Top 40 Albums chart with 'Mylo Xyloto', pushing Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds self-titled album down to No.2.

Coldplay were hotly tipped for the No.1 spot, as 'Mylo Xyloto' was No.1 in the mid-week charts this week.

Elsewhere in the Top 10 Michael Bublé's 'Christmas' is new at No.3, and Tom Waits enters at No.10 with 'Bad As Me'.

Outside the Top 10, The Soldiers' 'Message to You' enters at No.11, and Ronan Parke enters at No.22.  Sting's 'The Best Of 25 Years' enters at No.27. Darren Hayes' 'Secret Codes and Battleships' enters at No.29. Justice's 'Audio Video Disco' is new in at No.35, and Paul Simon's 'Graceland' re-enters at No.40.
