Spokesperson for David Bowie slams musical reports as false

Representatives for the iconic musician David Bowie have refuted claims that he gave permission for his work to be used in a stage show.

It was revealed over the weekend that Bowie had given the green light to 'Heroes: The Musical' to feature his back catalogue of songs, but a spokesperson for the superstar has now slammed the reports as entirely false.

An official statement released by W.E.N.N. yesterday, November 27, explained:

"Neither the David Bowie Organization, nor its co-publishers Emi Music and Chrysalis, has issued a license for a Bowie musical at the O2, as has been reported in the U.K. There are no negotiations pending for a long-running musical featuring the music of Mr. Bowie."
