Lady Gaga got "completely wasted" to pay her taxes

Pop icon Lady Gaga has revealed that the amount of tax she was required to pay this year was so high that she had to get drunk to sign the forms.

In a brand new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the 'Marry The Night' superstar explained that she was made to pay an extorionate amount of money in taxes and the shock drove her to get "completely wasted":

"When I signed my tax returns this year, I had to get completely wasted. They (aides) were just holding me up. It’s unbelievable."

She also admitted that she is frugal with her earnings and doesn't even see the point in splashing out on a house because she spends the majority of her time either on the road or in the studio:

"I’m a gypsy... I think, 'Well, gosh, what a waste of money to buy a place and I’m on the road. Even though it might not seem like a big deal because I’m a pop singer or whatever it still hurts to write a cheque. It’s a lot of money."

Gaga also opened up about her passion for acting and said that she is consistently shocked when she is simply offered roles because she feels as though she should "work for it" like everybody else:

"No one ever asks me to audition! They'll just say "we want her to do this movie", and I'm just like 'why?! You've never seen me act before!". I want to audition, I want to work for it! My dream would be to be in like a Woody Allen movie or something."
