George Michael is "getting better and better"

A spokesperson for George Michael has revealed that he should return home in time for the holidays.

The music icon was admitted to hospital in November with pneumonia and the illness caused him to pull the plug on the entire remainder of his Symphonica tour, but has been "improving steadily" and is potentialy set to spend Christmas at home.

Speaking to the press, his spokesperson explained: "He is getting better and better."

Michael's partner, Fadi Fawaz tweeted a series of cryptic messages on both December 10 and 12 that hinted at some good news and he wrote:

"What an amazing day, tonight I will sleep very well. Today is even a much better day :). Nothing to worry about. Happy days. I can not stop smiling today, the best day ever :)"
