According to mass reports, Beyoncé has given birth to a baby girl. 

Interest in the rumour picked up speed when the international superstar's mother, Tina Knowles, and sister Solange arrived in New York City earlier this week and various news sources revealed that staff at the St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan had been told to heighten security as they were expecting a high-profile patient. 

Although neither Beyoncé or husband Jay-Z have issued official statements on the supposed news, social networking site Twitter has been overrun this morning (December 30) with messages of love for the couple and their new daughter, who is thought to have been named Tiana-May Carter. 

On September 23, while filming the 'Countdown' music video, the 'Run The World (Girls)' hitmaker told cameras that she was already six months pregnant so her full term should fall in December.
