Rihanna: 'There's nobody in my league'

Rihanna, who has enjoyed an incredibly successful year, has admitted that while the whole music industry is "competition" she isn't too concerned as "there's nobody really in my league".

The Bajan beauty was recently named the top selling digital artist of all time and spent 2011 breaking chart records so is very much leading the pack at the moment, but revealed to Look magazine that she's not that worried about falling behind in the popularity stakes because she is one of a kind:

"There's nobody really in my league. But there's competition everywhere. The whole music industry is competition. There are people who like other artists, those who like me and others who like both."

When asked about other stars she respects and admires, Rihanna explained there are two in particular who are unbeatable:

"Beyonce is a great artist and I feel honoured to be mentioned in the same sentence, but we're different performers with different styles. Madonna. She reinvented her style and music with success every single time, and at the same time remained a real force. She's fantastic."
