Ed Sheeran nominated for 4 BRITs

Talented singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has been nominated for an impressive 4 titles at this year's BRIT Awards. 

The nominations ceremony took place yesterday, January 12, and revealed that the 'Lego House' star is up for numerous prizes including Best Album for '+', British Single for 'The A Team', British Male Solo Artist and Breakthrough Artist.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper about the news, he explained that he can't wait for the big night in February:

"I’m flying the flag for Team Ginge and everyone out there. I can’t believe I got more noms than Adele but that’s only because she’s not in the people’s choice one."

Writing to his 1.1 million followers on social networking site Twitter, 20-year-old Sheeran thanked them for their support and encouraged his fans to vote:

"Oh my. I've been nominated for 4 Brit awards. I'm a bit blown away, thank you all for your support!! :) waaaaah!"
