Sir Tom Jones reveals X Factor judge wish

Sir Tom Jones has admitted that he would like to be a judge on the X Factor - even though he's signed up to appear on new BBC talent show The Voice.

The Welsh crooner signed up to appear on The Voice as a coach - alongside the likes of Jessie J and will.i.am - late last year.

However, he told the Daily Star that he'd love to one day be a judge on hit ITV show the X Factor - and also lauded TV talent shows as a "good thing". He said:

"I would like to be a judge on The X Factor for sure. These talent shows are a good thing, but only as long as the kids are treated properly. They go straight in at the deep end and are not ready for it. That's my only fear."

Jones also took time to cast a reflective eye upon his lengthy career, calling his knighthood his biggest achievement - second to owning a Rolls-Royce. He added:

"The highlight of my career was being knighted - that was my biggest achievement. Also, I guess, owning my first Rolls-Royce. I bought a Rolls when I made my first million."
