Sir Paul McCartney is set to be honoured in Los Angeles next week with a place on the coveted Hollywood Walk of Fame. 

The icon has enjoyed an incredible career and will be given the 2,460th star on Vine Street - next to the Capitol Records building - on February 9.

His star will sit alongside those of his former Beatles bandmates Ringo Starr, John Lennon and George Harrison. 

McCartney's forthcoming new album, 'Kisses On The Bottom', is due to be unveiled on February 6 and he has also been named as the U.S. Recording Academy's MusiCares Person of the Year.
