Gaga's parents' restaurant receives first review

Lady Gaga recently tweeted about her parents' brand new restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, and the establishment has now received its first official review.

After its launch on Wednesday (February 1), a piece of writing surfaced in the New York Post by food critic Steve Cuzzo, who had managed to attend the eatery's opening night, and he described the experience as "close to the edge of collapse".

Cuzzo ordered several dishes at the restaurant, including calamari and veal, and didn't like any of them. He wrote: "last night was running mainly on acrid-smelling burnt vinegar wafting intermittently through the raucous dining room."

"Clueless busboys wandered the floor, performing no other function than to pour tap water into sparkling," he added. "Grilled calamari with bitter greens and radicchio were the worst I’ve had in a lifetime of squid-mongering, the salad unseasoned and the calamari like leather. Unspeakably fatty veal osso bucco was $38."

Referring to the 'Born This Way' hitmaker herself, Cuzzo quipped: "There was no sign of Lady Gaga, presumably busy with the upcoming Grammys on the Left Coast. But her pal Tony Bennett popped in, looking radiant and drawing oohs at the bar."
