Adele not affected by Lagerfeld's comments, says 'I represent women'

Adele has addressed Karl Lagerfeld's recent criticism of her physique and simply explained that she represents the vast majority of women.

The revered Chanel designer told London's Metro newspaper that the 'Someone Like You' sensation has a fantastic talent, but added that he wasn't impressed by her appearance:

"The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice."

His comments angered Adele's fans around the world and the interview became something of a talking point on social media sites, but the vocalist told People magazine that she isn't bothered by the negativity:

"I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines. I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that."
