Atomic Kitten deny Eurovision rumours

Atomic Kitten have denied reports that they are to represent the UK at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The Daily Star Sunday had claimed this morning that the ‘Whole Again’ trio, who last performed together in 2008, were reuniting for the event, to be held in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku on May 26.

However, all three members immediately took to Twitter to set the record straight.

Jenny Frost, who competed in the contest as part of Precious back in 1999, said "Happy Sunday guys-Woke up to hear that apparently AK are doing Eurovision-first I've heard!!"

Natasha Hamilton then joked: "thought maybe my memo got lost in the post!! Haha, always good to know peeps thinking of u," while Liz McClarnon, who entered Making Your Mind Up in 2007, added: "Loving the rumours & thank you for all the well wishes but we know nothing about #eurovision."

The girlband’s chart contemporaries, Blue, reformed for the contest last year, finishing a respectable 11th with the song, ‘I Can.’
