A representative has dismissed reports that a biopic about Whitney Houston's life is currently being planned.

Media reports had suggested that Rihanna and Jennifer Hudson were at the top of the shortlist to play the late singing star.

The brains behind the film was supposedly to be record executive and Houston's friend Clive Davis - but speaking to the Gossip Cop, a representative for Davis has dismissed the reports as false. They said:

"There is no truth to this. Clive is not putting together a biopic."

As previously reported, US magazine The National Enquirer recently came under fire from the public and media observers alike after printing a cover image of what appeared to be Whitney Houston in a coffin.
