Bruce Springsteen is on course to beat the Military Wives top the top of the UK albums chart this weekend.

According to the Official Charts Company, the veteran rocker's 'Wrecking Ball' has bossed the midweek chart, resigning Military Wives' debut album 'In My Dreams' to No.2.

Last week's No.1 - Emeli Sandé's 'Our Version Of Events' dropped to No.3 whilst Adele's chart behemoth '21' moved down two places to No.4.

Elsewhere in the midweek albums chart, Katie Melua - who Pressparty interviewed last week - saw her new entry 'Secret Symphony' enter at No.5 whilst Lana Del Rey's 'Born To Die' dropped to No.8.
