Gotye on course to retain No.1 single

Gotye remains on course to top the UK singles chart again this weekend after the midweek chart update confirmed that he is still at No.1.

His track 'Somebody That I Used To Know' topped the chart on Sunday (March 4) and has remained there since.

The weekend's No.2 - 'Rockstar' by Dappy - endured an epic 12 place slide down the chart to land at No.14.

He is replaced by Emeli Sandé and her hit 'Next To Me', whilst Nicki Minaj's 'Starships' moved up two places to No.3.

Marcus Collins' debut single, a cover of the White Stripes' 'Seven Nation Army' is a new entry at No.6.

David Guetta meanwhile sees himself poised for a top ten double - taking up both the No.9 and No.10 positions.
