The Wanted's Jay McGuiness talks overzealous female fans

The Wanted's Jay McGuiness has opened up on some of the female fan experiences the band have encountered so far in their career.

The Daily Star reports that McGuiness admitted a fear of overzealous older women - or "cougars", as he likes to call them.

The told a tale of one lady who brought with her to a gig the "filthiest sign you have ever seen" - and she was standing next to a little girl too. He said:

"We have a lot of cougars at our gigs. It's weird to see a little girl screaming, next to a cougar with the filthiest sign you have ever seen. You think: 'I hope that little girl doesn't look up.' You shouldn't learn language like that at her age. I have to Google what the signs mean. Then I think: 'You must stop looking at those weird sites!'."

Speaking about another fan encounter, Jay is reported to have added: "This one girl was crying like a whale. But she should enter the Olympics . She sprinted after our bus, she was sweating so much, but winking at the same time. Quite intimidating."
