McFly to publish tell-all autobiography

McFly have delighted their fans by confirming (March 9) they are writing their official autobiography, which is due for release later this year.

The lads have enjoyed an incredibly successful career, first as the pop-rock band that brought us 'Five Colours In Her Hair' and most recently as the reunited 'Shine A Light' heartthrobs, and they will tell their impressive story in an exclusive book published by Transworld.

Tom Fletcher explained: "Massive news, after almost 9 years (sic) we are writing our first McFLY book. Our autobiography is coming later this year...we have LOTS to tell!"

"We've started talking through our lives and experiences of the past 10 years. We've seen and done some pretty crazy stuff."

He went on to add that the band decided now was a great time to open up about their journey in their own words and they have a lot to tell:

"For those asking why there hasn't been a book sooner, we didn't want to do one of those tacky books only a couple of years into our career. We wanted to wait until we really had something to say, and we are now at that stage in our career where we can tell the REAL stories."
