Adam Lambert on cyber bullying: 'Happy people have no time to hate'

Adam Lambert has spoken out about the difficult issue of cyber bullying and admitted that even he is subjected to persistent negativity online.

The 'Better Than I Know Myself' superstar opened up to Yahoo! UK's 110% Pop about the dark side of social networking sites and explained that everyone becomes a potential victim regardless of if they're in the public eye or not:

"I try not to let online negativity affect me, but the internet is an easy place to hate. I'm definitely subjected to it from time to time. But what I tell myself is that the negativity is louder than the positivity."

"Happy people are just living their life they've not got time to hate."

The star, who is an inspiration to many of his fans for his unwavering social conscience, continued philanthropy and advocation for LGBT rights, added that the internet breeds negativity and it's sad that people feel the need to break others down in order to feel better about themselves.

He also spoke briefly about his forthcoming new album, 'Trespassing', and confessed that he hopes it will make him a household name in the UK and raise his profile in the country considerably:

"People don't know my music as well in the UK [as they do in America] but I really believe in it, I think it's a great album."
