One Direction announce new North American tour

One Direction have unveiled a new North American tour.

The band are currently No.1 in the album chart in the US - the first British band to have their debut album land at number one.

Speaking on Ryan Seacrest's radio show, the band announced a 20 city tour of North America, which begins in Fairfax in May.

The tour finishes in Florida on July 1.

The full tour is as follows:
