Usher reveals collaboration with Labrinth

Usher has revealed that his upcoming seventh album will feature a collaboration with Labrinth.

The ‘Yeah’ star, who releases his comeback single, 'Climax,' on April 16, told Capital FM that he decided to hook up with the British singer/producer after discovering his music whilst on tour with Tinie Tempah last year.

He said: "Well you know me and Tinie Tempah we toured together here in London and it was my opportunity to get close to him and just listen to all the different things that he and Labrinth had been working on and listen to all the music that I know admire that Labrinth did.

"I wanted to take a stab at his world – no different then Diplo – and you look at the results of that – so I can only imagine what me and Labrinth will do with this US and UK connection."

The 33-year-old, whose 2004 record 'Confessions' is reportedly the biggest-selling album of the 00s, also joked that he wants people to stop buying its nearest challenger, Adele’s '21,' during an interview on the station’s breakfast show:

"If I have to confess, I have to confess that I have told a few people not to go and buy Adele's album because I don't want her to go and break my record.

"No actually, I love her. Unfortunately, she's the closest to breaking my record for the last ten years. So now guys, don't go and buy that album right now."
