Justin Bieber "facing legal action after Twitter joke"

Justin Bieber is reportedly facing possible legal action after a Twitter prank went wrong.

TMZ reports that the singer was indulging in some high jinx fun with fans on the social networking website, posting a phone number missing its last digit, with fans guessing the last digit thinking they were calling up the teen star.

However, the website says that two people living in Texas - including an elderly lady called Dilcie - have claimed that their phones have been in constant action as a result of Bieber's tweet.

The pair have reportedly teamed up and brought in a lawyer, who said their clients' patience is "wearing thin" after being bombarded with over 1,000 calls.

As previously reported, Justin Bieber recently unveiled his latest single 'Boyfriend', with iTunes struggling to cope with demand.
