Taylor Swift named Entertainer of the Year at the ACM Awards
Country-pop's sweetheart Taylor Swift enjoyed a successful night (April 1) at the Academy of Country Music Awards and took home one of the most important titles.
For the second year running, the talented 22-year-old star was crowned Entertainer of the Year at the ceremony, which took place yesterday in Las Vegas, and she thanked her fellow nominees and fans for the honour:
"I want to say to my fellow nominees in this category, I respect you so much and I love you. To the fans for voting, thank you for doing this. This is exciting. Thank you!"
The 'You Belong With Me' sensation also posted a photo to her official Instagram feed accompanied with the caption: "Oh what a night..... (thank you, thank you, thank you!!!)"
Elsewhere, American Idol winner Scotty McCreery picked up the New Artist of the Year prize and popular trio Lady Antebellum won Vocal Group of the Year. Watch Swift win the coveted Entertainer of the Year trophy below:
