Little Mix reveal connection with Tulisa is still strong

X-Factor winners Little Mix have revealed that their connection with mentor Tulisa Contostavlos has become even stronger since the cameras stopped rolling.

The ‘Cannonball’ girl-band, who are currently working on their debut album, told The Sun that unlike most talent show judges, the N-Dubz star has remained a constant in their lives since the series finished.

Perrie said: “She’s really great, we’re always on the phone to her. Things have been difficult recently but she’s been such a trooper — she’s the most real person ever and I think her strength is why we won the show in the first place.

“We formed such a strong bond with her, she’s not a mentor any more, she’s a really good friend.”

The South Shields singer also described how nervous the quartet felt before being introduced to their label boss, Simon Cowell, to discuss their music career:

“Meeting Simon was like waiting outside the principal’s office. We felt like naughty schoolgirls and were all so scared that we could hardly breathe.

“I don’t know why we thought Simon was going to be this monster. It was just amazing how normal he is.”
