Robin Gibb's website crashes after coma news is confirmed

Robin Gibb's website has crashed due to high traffic from worried fans after news that he is in a coma emerged.

The Bee Gees star contracted pneumonia recently and is now in a coma - only weeks after undergoing treatment for cancer.

The singer was due to attend the recent opening of The Titanic Requiem - a classical show that he composed with his son - but he unfortunately had to cancel his appearance due to ill health.

A statement on Gibb's website says that his team are praying that he will "pull through". It reads:

"Sadly the reports are true that Robin has contracted pneumonia and is in a coma. We are all hoping and praying that he will pull through."

It continues: "This website is currently receiving an extraordinarily high volume of traffic and is temporarily unavailable. Sorry for any inconvenience."
