Adam Lambert praises current American Idol contestants

Former American Idol runner up Adam Lambert took to social networking site Twitter earlier this morning (April 19) to praise this year's contestants on the popular talent show.

The 'Better Than I Know Myself' powerhouse has built an incredible career for himself since leaving the televised competition and has now spoken out about his support for the stars from the current series:

"Jessica Sanchez better sing. Jeeeeeez. That first run was nuts. #futurepopmegastar. Gotta say, ALL these kids are dope this year. Love all the young musicians onstage too. Great energy."

Following 16-year-old Sanchez's (pictured above) performance on last night's episode of American Idol, Lambert added "Sanchez!!! Holy f**k daaaaaaaym" and then tweeted a public message to her that simply read, "werk!".
