X-Factor finalist Aiden Grimshaw unveils debut single

X-Factor finalist Aiden Grimshaw has unveiled his debut single, ‘Is This Love?’

The 20-year-old, who left the 2010 series in week six after losing the deadlocked vote to Katie Waissel, has spent the last 18 months writing and recording his debut album at his London home studio, and gave his army of fans the first glimpse of what to expect from it earlier today.

Produced by Jarrad Rogers (Lana Del Rey, Tinchy Stryder), the atmospheric track combines Grimshaw’s falsetto vocals with drum n’ bass-tinged beats and twinkling synths, and will be released through RCA on June 3.

The Blackpool singer, who received rave reviews for his performances of Tears For Fears’ ‘Mad World’ and Sinead O’Connor’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ during his stint on the talent show, will follow it up with parent album ‘Misty Eye’ on August 13.
