Dr. Dre pours cold water on Tupac hologram tour talk

Dr. Dre has played down speculation that he is interested in taking a hologram version of the late Tupac Shakur on tour.

The rapper teamed up with Snoop Dogg at the recent Coachella festival to perform with a hologram version of Tupac on stage.

He had been previously quoted as being interested in possibly taking the hologram on a tour, but in a new YouTube video he poured cold water over the suggestion.

In the video, Dr. Dre thanked the companies responsible for putting together the hologram before saying that it was strictly for Coachella 2012 - although he left the door ajar for a possible tour. He said:

"As you know, a hologram of Tupac was part of our show…It was strictly for Coachella – get it right. I wanna get rid of all the rumours out there. This was not done for a tour. If a tour happens, we'll see. This was done strictly for Coachella 2012, baby. Just for you."
