The Wanted reveal they are comfortable with 'boyband' label

The Wanted have revealed that they are now comfortable with being labelled a boyband.

The British quintet, who released their self-titled debut E.P. in the States this week, told MTV News that whilst they were initially apprehensive about the tag, they are now ready to embrace it.

Jay McGuiness said: "Eventually, we were, like, over it. If you like us despite it or because of it, then we're happy."

But the ‘Glad You Came’ stars, who yesterday described Christina Aguilera as a 'total bitch’ following their meeting at The Voice, also claimed that they are a different type of boyband than the ones they grew up with.

Tom Parker said: "We went out there and we're like, 'You know what? I think we can change people's perspectives of the '90s boy bands.’ And that was our aim: just to make good music."
