One Direction claim they will never quit the UK

One Direction have claimed that they will never quit the UK, despite becoming an international sensation.

The Daily Star reports that the band have been offered a chance to relocate to the US, where they recently scored a number one album, but Liam Payne has assured fans in his homeland that the band have no plans to emigrate:

“We were all asked the other day where we would want to live in the world and we all said the UK.

“There are great places out there but you can’t pick anywhere but home."

The 19-year-old, who alongside the rest of his band-mates were swamped by fans at Heathrow Airport on their return to the UK last week, also expressed his gratitude to those who have followed the group since their inception on The X-Factor:

“Without them we would not be enjoying the success we are. They started all this for us and we won’t forget that.

“We have been in America and Australia but there’s nothing like being home with your friends. We don’t want our UK fans to think we have deserted them."
