Cheryl Cole says Cher Lloyd has a lot of learning to do

Cher Lloyd's former X Factor mentor Cheryl Cole says the 18-year-old still has a lot of things to learn as she builds her career in the music industry.

Speaking to GQ, Cole said that she went through "hell" to ensure Lloyd got on the X Factor and suggested that Lloyd hasn't reciprocated Cole's dedication to the 'Swagger Jagger' singer.

Lloyd and Cold earlier this year had something of a minor spat after Lloyd suggested that the Girls Aloud singer uses auto-tune too much - something which she later apologised for. Speaking about Lloyd, Cole said to GQ:

"She's new. She needs to learn a lot. I went through hell to get her on that programme. Everyone says stuff at the beginning of their career that they will learn to regret."

She added: "It's disappointing because I fought for her. Maybe I didn't teach her as well as I thought I had."
