Danny O'Donoghue defends fellow The Voice coach will.i.am

The Script's Danny O'Donoghue has praised fellow The Voice coach will.i.am, saying that he is doing a "great job".

Will.i.am has come under fire recently for his apparent hands off approach to coaching his contestants, with some of his crew reportedly feeling a little left out.

The Daily Mail quotes O'Donoghue as saying he's behind is rival coach and that he is doing a sterling job. He said:

"He's doing a great job, he's got some great talent on his team. There are those hours from the BBC, you're required to do hours, but again we're all willing to stay extra hours and stay here until it's done."

The Script mainman meanwhile praised the show in general, saying that he feels they have found a group of people with real talent. He said:

"We've found a group of really talented people that in my view have shaken up the UK music scene. The feedback I'm getting is, in the day and age where the industry is moving towards this type of a vehicle as a launchpad for acts, the 'muso' side which would normally snub these style shows, have actually embraced that."
