The former X Factor sensation and television presenter welcomed her second son into the world yesterday, May 5, and her publicist Max Clifford shared the exciting news via social networking site Twitter:

"Congratulations to our lovely client @5taceysolomon who gave birth to a baby boy earlier today, both baby and mum are doing well."

Solomon hasn't yet spoken out about the new addition to her family and this is her first child with fiance Aaron Barnham, but she is also mother to four-year-old Zachary from a previous relationship.

Back in March, the star came under fire after she was photographed smoking while pregnant and explained to the press that she desperately tried to knock the habit on the head, but could only cut down:

"I know it doesn't look good but I only have a few cigs a day. I don't think I've let down my fans, But I do get a little stressed at times and a ciggie helps me calm down. I desperately want to stop ­smoking and I don't want to set a bad example. It's a tough habit to break but I'm going to give it my best shot."
