'Starships' hitmaker Nicki Minaj has kicked off her world tour in support of 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' and shared a photo of her new stage with her 11.7 million Twitter followers.

The rap sensation took to her official social networking page in the early hours of yesterday morning (May 16) and told her 'Barbz' that she was so excited to kick off the run of dates in Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Australia later today: "Aahhhhh!!!!!!!!! Who wants to come over?!???!!! The tour begins!!!!!!!!!"

Minaj then tweeted a link to a photograph of the new set-up, which is illuminated with neon pink lights and is designed to look like a couple of houses with front doors, windows and stairs.

Following the opening night of her new live show, she returned to Twitter to express her excitement at how well it went and wrote:

"Omfg!!!!! Sydney, Australia was thee most amazing crowd ever tonite!!!!!! Thank u guys soooooo much!!!!!!!! Mmmuuuaaahhhh!!!!!"
