Adele and Ed Sheeran have both picked up awards at this year's Ivor Novellos.

Adele was one of the first musicians to win an award at the ceremony today (May 17), bagging a gong in the PRS for Music Most Performed Work category.

Her track 'Rolling In The Deep' managed to secure the award for the global superstar, beating off competition from Take That.

She also managed to win the Songwriter of the Year award.

Ed Sheeran meanwhile reigned supreme in the Best Song Musically & Lyrically category for his song 'The A Team'.

PJ Harvey was later announced as the winner of the coveted Album Award in recognition of her release 'Let England Shake'.
