Disco legend Donna Summer dead at 63

Disco legend Donna Summer has died following a battle with cancer.

The iconic singer, who had hits including 'Hot Stuff' and 'Last Dance', passed away this morning (May 17) in Florida according to TMZ.com and had been trying to keep the nature of her illness out of the press for a while.

Her spokesperson is yet to confirm the news.

Summer, who was born on December 31 in 1948, married the singer of Brooklyn Dreams, Bruce Sudano, back in the 1980s and they had 2 daughters together.

During her tremendous career, the Queen of Disco won 5 GRAMMYs and became well-known and loved for her popular tracks.
