Aiden Grimshaw announces one-off London gig

Former X Factor contestant Aiden Grimshaw has announced details of a one-off London gig that will take place next month.

The talented singer will perform as the headlining act at Camden's Proud club on June 13 as part of Music Week's 'Breakout' season and tickets are available now for just £6.

He also recently opened up about his debut album, 'Misty Eye', which is due to be released on August 13 and told the Blackpool Gazette that he's anxious to finally unveil his original material: "I am a bit nervous about the reception, so far it has gone well, but this is my own stuff, people will be judging and I have had so long away."

"Most of the X Factor stuff was moody and there are some pretty heartfelt moody tracks, a bit 'Mad World'-esque, but there are also some big, euphoric, angry beats as well. It has been very important for me to take time out since The X Factor and work with different producers to find my feet."

"I didn't know what I was doing or what sound I was going for, it has taken a year and a bit, well almost two years, for me to start working it all out. I started writing the album in November last year, I wanted to write honest music, just me in a studio making those experiences and coming up with ideas."
