Nicki Minaj axes festival performance after DJ diss

Rap sensation Nicki Minaj pulled out of a festival appearance in the USA hours before she was due to go on stage after a DJ slated her while broadcasting live from the event.

The sexy hitmaker was due to perform at Hot 97's Summer Jam at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday (June 3), but Hot 97 presenter Peter Rosenberg publicly dissed her while introducing another live act at the concert and said:

"I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with 'Starships' later. I'm not talking to y'all now. F**k that bulls**t."

His comments soon got back to Young Money founder Lil Wayne and he took to social networking site Twitter and exclaimed: "Young Money ain't doing summer jam."

Minaj also tweeted about the situation (June 3) and expressed her disappointment at having to axe her appearance: "Wow. U niggaz just fucked up history. But the President has spoken. #YMCMB. Had a HELL of a fucking lineup. But we won't b disrespected."
