Former Fleetwood Mac member Bob Welch commits suicide aged 66
Former Fleetwood Mac member Bob Welch has been found dead at his home, according to police.
The Associated Press say Nashville police spokesman Don Aaron confirmed that 66-year-old Welch was found at 12.15pm on Thursday (June 7) with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
They say he was found by his wife and that he left a suicide note.
Welch was a guitarist in seminal band Fleetwood Mac between 1971 and 1974, before forming rockers Paris.
He also enjoyed a solo career in the late 1970s, releasing albums such as French Kiss and Three Hearts.
Welch was said to be suffering from health problems when he died.
