Carly Rae Jepsen admits it would now be awkward to give a guy her number
Carly Rae Jepsen has admitted that she would find it awkward to give a guy her number following the success of her debut single.
The 25-year-old, who recently signed up to star in US teen drama 90210, told the Associated Press that it would now be impossible to follow the idea of her No.1 hit single, ‘Call Me Maybe’ in person:
"I've done brave things for love before or for the possibility of the idea of love, but I've never quite done that and I'm pretty sure now that I never can because that would be really, really awkward."
The former Canadian Idol contestant, whose song was this week parodied by the Cookie Monster, also revealed she’s still coming to terms with being recognised:
"That is a little bit strange. I'm not at the level of like, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry. I've been very enclosed in my hotel rooms and very enclosed in the studio right now, so the times where I'm out there is for a show or at the airport.
