Stacey Solomon confirms plans for sitcom based on her life

Stacey Solomon has confirmed that she is to star in a sitcom based on her life.

The 22-year-old, who finished third in The X-Factor in 2009 and won I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here a year later, told the Daily Star that she can’t wait to get started on the project.

“It will be based on a fictional set-up but all of the things going on between the family members will be based on real life, a bit like Miranda. I’m forever taking the mickey out of myself.”

Written by Rob Colley (The Graham Norton Show) and Dan Gaster (Mock The Week), the ITV comedy will star Phil Cornwell and Ronni Ancona as her parents, but Solomon insists that her real-life fiancée, Aaron, won’t be making an appearance:

“He’s 100% shy but he’s used to seeing me with a fake boyfriend. I’ve got a few fake families from the Iceland ads. I’ll never be lonely.”
