Arctic Monkeys' Beatles cover climbs chart after Olympics show

Arctic Monkey's cover of the Beatles' 'Come Together' has enjoyed a chart boost after the band performed at the Olympic Games opening ceremony.

The indie rockers were one of a number of musical acts performing at the massive event in London on Friday (July 27) as the UK celebrated its heritage.

Arctic Monkeys performed 'Come Together' to a gigantic TV audience and it is enjoying an upwards surge in the UK iTunes chart.

NME reports that it has reached No.14 on the download chart.

'Caliban's Dream' meanwhile, a song written by Underworld and performed by Two Door Cinema Club's Alex Trimble at the ceremony, is currently sitting at No.5 on the UK iTunes chart.
