Victoria Beckham on guest editing Glamour magazine: 'My vision was strong and edgy'

Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has opened up about her role as guest editor of September's Glamour magazine.

The superstar spent a number of months working at the publication's American offices and used her experience and vision to create the forthcoming new issue, on which she also graces the cover.

Speaking to Women's Wear Daily, Beckham explained that she brought a sense of edginess to the pages and included strong editorials on boyband The Wanted and stunning actress Lily Collins:

"I wanted to put my stamp on the magazine. They were really open to my ideas, like I wanted to show Lily with not a lot of retouching. I have a very strong vision of what I like, and it's cool and a little more edgy."

Glamour's current editor-in-chief, Cindi Leive, added that she was impressed by the former Spice Girl's effort and thinks she did a great job working with the magazine's newly-overhauled image:

"Our core readers have responded really well to our redesign. We are grabbing a girl that didn't consider herself a magazine person before - the 27-year-old who doesn't want to see anything fake or phony. We're showing a sense of fun and a sense of humour."
