Little Mix have expressed their delight at being compared to the likes of Beyoncé.

The 2011 X Factor winners recently released the single 'Wings' to a positive reaction, with some likening the track to some esteemed female singers - such as the Guardian, who called it a "highly caffeinated Beyoncé".

Little Mix's Perrie Edwards admitted that it is "amazing" to be compared to Beyoncé, or Christina Aguilera in terms of sound. She said:

"It's a compliment to be compared to a Beyoncé kind of sound, or Christina Aguilera kind of sound. It's just amazing to be compared to those amazing divas, so yeah it's really nice."

Jesy Nelson added: "We hope that we surprise people with our music, as when you're on X Factor you have to perform so many covers and when you come out of the show you have to find yourself as an artist. I definitely think we have with this single and we're really happy with the way it portrays Little Mix."
