Wiley scores first solo UK number one with 'Heatwave'

Wiley has today scored the first solo number one of his career with 'Heatwave.'

The grime rapper, who had previously reached No.2 with 'Wearing My Rolex' and topped the chart twice as part of Roll Deep, pipped Calvin Harris & Example’s collaboration, 'We’ll Be Coming Back,' to pole position, selling over 100,000 copies in the process.

Last week’s number one, Florence + The Machine’s 'Say My Name' dropped to No.3, just ahead of Maroon 5’s 'Payphone' and Stooshe's Black Heart.

Underworld’s 'Caliban' (No.12), Arctic Monkeys’ cover of The Beatles’ 'Come Together' (No.21) and Frank Turner’s 'I Still Believe' (No.40) all charted this week after being performed at the Olympic Games opening ceremony, whilst elsewhere, there were new entries for Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Through The Night' (No.34)and Drake's 'Crew Love' (No.37).
