Spice Girls reunion rocks Olympic Closing Ceremony

The Spice Girls wowed Olympic Closing Ceremony viewers last night (August 12) with a fantastic live performance.

The long-awaited reunion came as a treat as they emerged from specially customised black London cabs to sing a couple of their most well-loved hits.

Dressed to illustrate their individual personas, the five-piece sang 'Spice Up Your Life' and 'Wannabe' to rapturous applause and many of the Olympic athletes were shown on camera singing and dancing along to their mini-set.

BRIT award-winning songstress Jessie J performed her chart-topping hit 'Price Tag', then accompanied Tinie Tempah on his cut 'Written In The Stars' before she joined Queen (pictured left) to provide the vocals for a version of 'We Will Rock You'.

Taio Cruz was in attendance to run through 'Dynamite', Fatboy Slim took to his decks for 'Right Here, Right Now' and 'Funk Soul Brother', and Beady Eye performed the Oasis classic, 'Wonderwall'.

Take That helped to bring the star-studded event to a close with a rousing rendition of 'Rule The World' although Robbie Williams wasn't in the line-up. Other acts to perform in the closing ceremony included The Who, Muse and Eric Idle.
